Filed case against husband can I claim maintenance for my daughter

11-Jul-2023 (In Divorce Law)
I am a govt. Employee. I am having dispute with my husband and in-laws. Hence living with at my parents home with my 6month old daughter. I have filed a case of domestic violence against all of them. My monthly salary is 25K and my husband gets 35K. Can I claim maintenance of my child from him? Besides food clothes and other necessary items, is he liable to pay any other expenses of daughter like LIC, deposit in Sukanya acount. My salary is not so much that I can't afford rented house along with other household expenses. Please guide me how much and for what I can get from my husband.

Yes, you can get maintenance for child. You may be advised to live in rented accommodation however the details available with me are limited. There are specific provisions under domestic violence Act. Further check out status of cases pending and pursue them carefully to continue legal protection available with you. There should have been FIR in your case that is missing.
