Extra marital affair of husband of 7 year

Husband and I married for 7 years. He has now moved out and started live in with a single woman in a different flat for last 9 months and filed for divorce with me. Recently he is saying he wants return to me and lead married life but is not able to do that, as he has to break up with the her nicely.. he says he will take time to come out of the extra marital. Questions: 1) will he be able to come out of the relation? 2) what legal charges she can get on him if he comes out? We are Hindu.

Yes, he can come out of the relation with her affair if he really wants to, however, she can file a Rape Case against him for breach of promise to marry, relying upon which, she allowed him to indulge in sex with her.
