Ex-parte guardianship petition

23-Jun-2025 (In Divorce Law)
I’m a mother seeking to file an ex-parte guardianship petition in Bhopal for my 2 years old child. Her father is settled in abroad and has had no contact/support for 1.5+ years. FIR is filed against him under 498A, 406, 506. I want sole legal guardianship for her to fulfill legal, schools and welfare-related matters, minimal hearings, and fixed, transparent fees. Kindly advise if you can assist.

Dear Ma’am, I understand your concern and appreciate you taking the step to secure your child’s welfare. Given the absence of the father, along with the FIR already registered under Sections 498A, 406, and 506 IPC, you have valid legal grounds to file an ex-parte guardianship petition. The objective of obtaining sole legal guardianship—particularly for school admissions, welfare, and other formalities—can be pursued effectively through the appropriate court. I can assist you with the entire process, ensuring minimal court appearances, proper documentation. Please contact me so we can discuss the case in detail and proceed accordingly. Best regards, Advocate Abhishek Jat
