I have filed a Divorce case against my wife in Chennai in one of the sub court, the case was filed in January 2021, Appearance of both Petitioner and Respondent complete last year March 2021, The respondent counter filed (reply to my petition) saying she doesnot want to give divorce and reunite, I filed affidivit Petition to Receive Documents in the court, the last enquiry which was supposed to happen in January 2022 was postponed to April 2022 and here is the current status : Business : no physical hearing as per order of the honoble High court, Madras Roc, No:23991-C/2020/C3 dt 2.1.2022 and case resposted to 20.4.2022 Next purpose : Enquiry Next hearing date : 20.4.2022 Would appreciate if someone can please clarify the below ? What is enquiry mean? Will i have to go to the box for enquiry (or) will i get a mandatory/compulsory counsellling (or) will the respondent file reply affidavit and just paper exchange? I just wanted to know what will happen here in 20.4.2022

Enquiry means argument on the application to receive additional documents. If the court is satisfied with your application then it will be allowed otherwise rejected. Getting into the box will be later to mark documents or for cross examination.
