Does 498 case finishes on finalising pending divorce case

A friends wife has put section 498 A on him and his family and now has appealed for divorce, just want to check does section 498 A have to be withdrawn or will it be automatically closed post the divorce date in January. Plsz advice
498A is a section where you can not compound with permission of the court but its under process to make arrangement for compounding such matters and proceeding for divorce if that is under mutual divorce under section 13 b den only we can puts conditions in that matter for take back all the matters if filed in front of family court judge
