Divorce in India after obtaining divorce from US

After obtaining divorce from US is it valid in India.If not What is the procedure to obtain divorce in India. Is it difficult and how long does it take.. Pls help me. If husband goes to India and file a consent divorce.This is for my sister.Will she be forced to go to India and appear before court.. Husband is forcing to go to India for divorce. Since she is in dependent visa she won't be able to come back to US if she go to India. And that is what her husband wants too...pls help..

With a power of attorney, the mutual divorce could be done in India and so alone, presence of your sister is not all necessary. in this regard, you can be attorney holder of your sister and thereby the issue could be resolved
