Hello,

As this is out of court settlement and since the groom is unable to pay the agreed amount to the bride within the agreed time period, the bride's family may give some time to the groom to settle the amount within a time period decided by the bride and her family (however, this will depend on the mood of the bride's family what they will do) or the bride's family can seek permanent alimony from the court.

He needs to approach elders and make them understand his situation . In turn they will make her agree for further period of time. But, If he fails in stipulated time then she may approach Police and court .
