If the behaviour of your partner is intolerable towards you can anytime send a complaint regarding your grievances in writing to the police station according to your jurisdiction. And if you wish to go legal and if there's no scope of living together then rather stretching the relationship you should file for contested divorce under the ground of cruelty. I would suggest you to go with mutual divorce because it's cost effective and ends up in a maximum of six months.

Dear Sir, It a general practice adopted by the Parties in the Family disputes to levy allegations of dowry and other endowments just with the motive to make the allegations seem more severe. Currently you need to refute all the allegations made by your before the Court and in general cases the records of the Income Tax Department cannot be called unless the same is ordered by Court.

In cases where a husband is falsely accused of taking dowry, legal actions can be taken against the wife and her family under Indian law. Here's a brief note on the steps: 1. Filing a Counter FIR: The husband can file a First Information Report (FIR) under Section 182 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which deals with providing false information with the intent to cause harm. 2. Defamation Case: The husband may also file a defamation suit under **Section 499 and 500 IPC** for damaging his reputation due to false allegations. 3. Perjury: If false evidence or statements are provided in court, a complaint under **Section 191 and 193 IPC** (for giving false evidence and fabricating false evidence) can be filed. 4.Criminal Intimidation: If there has been any threat or coercion by the wife’s family, **Section 506 IPC** (criminal intimidation) could be invoked. 5. Malicious Prosecution: The husband can also sue for damages in case of wrongful prosecution under **Section 211 IPC**, which covers instituting criminal proceedings with malicious intent. These legal remedies aim to protect the husband's rights against the misuse of dowry laws and false accusations.
