Child Custody Information not specified in Divorce Decree

16-Jun-2024 (In Divorce Law)
I got my divorce decree yesterday However there is nothing mentioned about the child custody in the decree. I have custody of my daughter and it is mentioned in the petition. Is it necessary that the divorce decree should have custody related information. Will it create any issues in future? Do I need to file another case to get custody included in the decree?

Dear queriest, if you have mentioned in your petition then the court will definitely mention about the same in the decree, if you have not claimed for the same, and the other party too has not demanded for custody then there is no need to file another case for custody, for more information about the same kindly call me.

In a contested divorce petition it is not mandatory to mention about the custody of the child. If there is a dispute as regards custody then you must go ahead and file for custody. Feel free to contact me for seeking any further legal advice as regards the same.
