यदि आप दोनों लंबे समय तक साथ रहे, financially और socially एक couple की तरह रहे, तो कुछ मामलों में इसे “relationship in the nature of marriage” माना जा सकता है। लेकिन इसका फायदा ज़्यादातर महिला को protection के रूप में मिलता है, पुरुष को नहीं। Marriage का claim: केवल corporate records या social identity में spouse लिख देने से legally marriage साबित नहीं होती। विवाह के लिए वैध रीति (customs या Special Marriage Act के तहत registration) जरूरी होता है। Fraud या cheating का मुद्दा: अगर यह साबित हो कि महिला ने शुरू से शादी का झूठा वादा करके relationship बनाया और बाद में मुकर गई, तब आप IPC की धारा 417 (cheating) के तहत मामला देख सकते हैं, लेकिन यह साबित करना कठिन होता है और facts पर निर्भर करेगा। आपके लिए practical options: यदि आपके पास कोई लिखित proof, chats, financial transactions, या joint commitments हैं, तो उन्हें सुरक्षित रखें। Legal notice भेजकर settlement/clarification मांग सकते हैं। बिना ठोस grounds के criminal case करने से बचें, क्योंकि misuse का risk भी होता है। Ground reality: इस तरह के मामलों में court ज़्यादातर इसे personal relationship मानता है, जब तक clear fraud या coercion न हो।
