Case on spouse's girlfriend for blackmail

Dear Sir/Madam, Husband had an extra marital affair for 1.5 years. He has understood his mistake and wants to settle down with his wife and 3 year old baby. But his girlfriend is threatening him in all ways. What legal action can be taken to stop this mental torture and blackmailing. How can we protect the family mentally and legally. First of all write down all your grievances and address it to the police station according to your jurisdiction and then execute a settlement deed with that girl to prevent any blackmailing or any kind of mental harassment in future. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.
