Case filed against my son and me.

My son got married to a woman five years older than him when he was just 20 years old against our advice. They lived in another state and I never interfered in their matters. His wife was dominating and suspicious all the time. They have a son and married life was getting worse. One day my son found a deleted compromising chat between his wife and his best friend so he left her. His wife filed a police complaint against him and me. They got divorced. The case is still pending. What should we do?
