Can working women entitled to get the alimony

My divorce case is in Dharwad family court. Both are ready to give divorce. Its 11 years of marriage and I had filed for divorce. I have 6 years old Son and I am also working. He is not ready to give alimony. Wanted to know will court grant the alimony?
Dear Madam,
You must amend or atleast file interim application under Section Twenty Five of HMA Act claiming permanent alimony in the pending divorce case. Otherwise Court will not consider suo-motto to grant alimony. Take necessary steps before judgment is pronounced.
