Can wife ask share in husband's property after divorce

My wife mentally tortures me a lot I want to file for divorce. but If I file for divorce she will file many cases like domestic and maintenance against me. What should I do to escape from these cases and also If I file for divorce whether she can take half of my property
U can't stop at person from taking up legal recourse. You can well defend the cases. If she is torturing you file police complaint against her to create evidence. Also file for divote without bothering about her actions as that would also show that you are much harassed than her. Half income as alimony is not the rule. Court considers all aspects before granting alimony. Do u have a child and if ur wife is working and dependants on you - also required to be considered.
