Can unemployed husband claim child support from employed wife?

I have custody of my 2 boys since 2010 & got divorced in 2017 .I am jobless for the last 2 yrs & surviving on rental income. My ex wife is working & is financially sound & staying in a owned society flat in Delhi ncr, I have a aged mother to take care of also. Can I demand & get child support from her now.
First of all before demanding maintenance amount for you children, you need to prove your wife resources and that your financial position is dismal.since, you have got the custody of children and their welfare lies with you but now when you are not in good sound position as per you,therefore,even wife could now claim children custody while you raise your demand before court.
