Hello, I would like to know that can I get the hard copy of the decree from the family court or is it that the order passed for the same is considered to be the decree received ?

Well, apart from the final Judgement, you will get a Decree/Order from the concerned City Civil Court for which you have to apply in the concerned Family Court to get a Decree of Divorce or Nullity for which you have filed a Petition for!

A decree and an order is different. You can obtain a copy of the order once it is uploaded online or a certified copy of the same by applying for it. As far as a decree is concerned it takes some time to be prepared. Feel free to contact me for seeking any legal assistance as regards the same.

You can apply for a certified hard copy of the divorce decree from the Family Court where the order was passed. The order sheet is not the decree itself. The decree is a formal document prepared after the judgment, and it is issued only after being drawn and signed by the judge and court officer. You can obtain it by filing an application in the court’s record section with case details and a copy of the order.
