Can I file RTI to know name & surname of child wife living separately

i wanted a copy of birth certificate of my child. My wife have filed divorce petition in court and she deliver baby boy and now he is 1 year old now. I came to know that Namkaran ceremony already done without informing me. now i wanted to know the name & surname of my child register in birth certificate. child is born in village. Please help me for getting this details through RTI or other way?
yes, you can file a RTI to know the name but only if the concerned department from where you need the relevant information falls under tthe RTI act. if the concerned department does not have the information then you cannot get it. rather you can move an application in the court where litigation is pending to know the name and meet your child.

Dear client , in village panchayat born and death register, is kept and gram Sevak of that village maintain it ,by paying nominal fee of rs.10 you can get the birth certificate , as till yet divorce procedure is not completed hence as a father your name is must , for further any information don't be hesitate for contact.if you are satisfied with this information given by me please rate me.
