Can i file for divorce if i did adultery
21-Apr-2024 (In Divorce Law)
If a person did adultery, can he himself file for divorce, there is child outside marriage...what will be the consequences in court
Yes... there are many grounds upon which the divorce can be taken. If there's no scope of living together then rather stretching the relationship you can file for contested divorce under the ground of cruelty. I would suggest you to go with mutual divorce because it's cost effective and ends up in a maximum of six months.
Sir
If you have committed adultery that can't be a ground for you to to file a case for divorce in that ground. However, you may file it upon other grounds like cruelty, etc. that we'll discuss in detail later. Moreover, if you have a child outside marriage, you are looking for multiple litigations coming your way, if the second marriage is proven, you are looking at jail time for committing bigamy. You need to discuss your case at length and you may consult me for that. Good luck!
