Indian courts have recognized service through WhatsApp as valid in certain cases where traditional service fails. For example, Bombay High Court in 2018 and Delhi High Court in 2020 allowed it. However, such service is valid only if prior permission is taken from the court. Without court approval, WhatsApp service is not legally binding under CPC. Therefore, an application must be filed for substituted service under Order 5 Rule 20 CPC to serve summons or warrants via WhatsApp or email when the party is evading service.

As your husband and his lawyer are avoiding warrants it would be beneficial for you to take Dasti Summons/warrants and served them through registered AD through Indian post on the correct address which you are aware of and further you are suggested to serve your husband and his lawyer through email and what’s app.
