About Documents & Process What documents do I need to prepare? Can you help me draft the petition properly? Do I need to submit proof of income, marriage, child birth certificate? Will everything be confidential? How long will the entire process take? Can this be done without going to court multiple times?

first if you are filing for a divorce you may need documents such as marriage certificate, child birth certificate, any sort of communications made between the wife and the husband if necessary can be attached and other relevant documents, if the divorce is mutual it will get over within a year and even months if the cooling off period is waived

The required documents depend on the type of divorce petition (mutual consent or contested) and the applicable personal law. Generally, marriage proof, identity/address proof, photographs, and details of children are required; income documents may be needed for maintenance or financial claims. A lawyer can draft the petition based on the facts. Court proceedings are generally confidential, but the exact process and timeline vary. Multiple court appearances may be required, although mutual-consent divorce is usually simpler and may involve fewer hearings, subject to the court’s procedure.
