Appeal Limitation period for divorce in Supreme Court of India

What is the limitation period for filing appeal case for divorce in Supreme Court of India in 2020 - 2022 .Heard that during covid time appeal limitation period has extended ,but till which month and year.

An appeal has to be preferred within a period of thirty days from the date of the judgment or order of a Family Court. The court's latest order has held that the period between 15/03/2020 to 28/02/2022 will not be counted towards the limitation period for filing of any case. Hi, the limitation period is over now aa per the Sou Moto writ petition - 3 of 2020. Rest it is better to understand facts of the case before handed so that sane legal advice can be provided. We can schedule a meeting to take it further.

time period was extended up till 31 May 2022, now which is already passed, but still you can file appeal in divorce case . You just need to pray for condonation for the delay in filing the appeal. condonation in delay in filing the appeal is usually allowed

limitation period is 60 days from the date of grant of the certificate by the High court. Supreme courts suo Moto limitation extension ended on 28th February 2022. limitation period starts running from 1st of March 2022.
