Allahabad High Court case listing issue

20-Jan-2026 (In Divorce Law)
My case 'Criminal Revison' is pending since 2 years in Allahabad high court. Advocate says he file application every week to list the case. I want to know about application procedure in allahabad High Court. Do advocate need to file that application every week to list out the case? After filling application, in how many days the case can be listed, can the case be listed in the same week or 4-5 days or more? My advocate filled application on 10th Jan and still the case is not showing.

Advocate ek mentioning application registry me file karta hai, jisme urgent grounds likhe jaate hain (jaise case 2 saal se pending hai, liberty ka issue, maintenance, arrest, etc.). Ye application concerned Court ke Daily Cause List Section / Registrar (Judicial) ke paas jaati hai.

In Allahabad High Court, criminal revision matters are listed as per cause list/roster and listing availability. Advocate generally files a listing/urgent hearing application (mentioning application / pra-rthana patra) if early listing is required, but every week application file karna mandatory nahi hota—it depends upon whether the earlier application was accepted/marked and whether the matter is ready for listing. After filing listing application, same week listing guarantee nahi hoti. Usually it may take 1–3 weeks or more, depending on pendency, roster, and urgency. Even after filing on 10th Jan, the case may not reflect immediately. You should ask your advocate for: 1. copy/diary number of listing application 2. whether it was placed before the Court / marked for listing 3. next listing status on HC case status portal/cause list. If urgency is genuine, advocate can press for urgent listing/mentioning before Court.
