Absence on evidence date due to exams any issues

30-Jul-2025 (In Divorce Law)
After the interim order the next date is for evidence. I'm unable to attend the date due to exams and appearing in person. Is it okay to miss the first date for evidence. Any suggestions

Since it is the First date after Interim application and the matter is for filing of evidence You can seek adjournment from the court by appointment an Advocate. However if you do not remain present before the court, the court will give a next date however your absence will be marked. There are chances that court may also pass an order for No evidence and may keep it for other sides evidence.

Hello Not attending without informing the court is not advisable. You should formally inform the court and request an adjournment. You can file a written application for adjournment citing your exam and incapacity to appear in person. Attach proof of exam schedule if possible

sir/ma'am you can submit an application for seeking the permission to get exemption of attendance during your exam and submit your hall ticket of the exam as evidence. and ask for the date after your exam. if the court finds everything is properly submitted and hall ticket is real then court will allow you the exemption.
