When the Court passes an interim maintenance order, the final typed copy of the Order is prepared by the Court office. If the clerk informed you that the Order is “sent for correction”, it means that the Judge or the Court staff has noticed a clerical/typographical error (such as spelling mistakes, date errors, wrong case number, wrong name, or numerical mistake) and the Order is being rectified before issuing the certified copy. This is a routine judicial process and does not affect the merits of your case or the amount granted to you and your children. Once the correction is completed, the certified copy will be made available for collection. You may follow up with the copy section periodically. After receiving the corrected certified copy, you can initiate enforcement proceedings if the opposite party fails to comply with the maintenance order.
