A3 accuse in 498A...Iam an NRI,my sister inlaw filed a 498a case on my
19-Dec-2023 (In Divorce Law)
My sister in law filed a 498A false case on my brother and added me as A3 accuse in the complaint, where I lived in US,what are the consequences I need to face in this situation & what can I do to come out from this false case.
hi you could file a quash petition in high court stating that the 498A case was made with all false allegations amd that you are not responsiblr for it as you are not responsible for the actions and also for dispense with your presence

even you are not present in India on the date/s alleged, there is no obstruction to lodge a report against you alongwith your family members.
but, in such circumstances, you have an opportunity to file a petition before the high court for squash the FIR against you by stating your innocence in the alleged offence and meanwhile obtain a stay order pertaining to you.
