Pl. recommend sections of indian law against the abettor who abetted a 16 yrs. old female to attempt to commit suicide by way of consuming poison. But she survived.

As per the brief facts provided by you, the crime falls under Section 305 of the Indian Penal Code, which reads as follows :

Section 305 (Indian Penal Code) - Abetment of suicide of child or insane person

If any person under eighteen years of age, any insane person, any delirious person, any idiot, or any person in a state of intoxication commits suicide, whoever abets the commission of such suicide, shall be punished with death or imprisonment for life, or imprisonment for a term not exceeding ten years, and shall also be liable to fine.

Abetment of suicide committed by child or insane or delirious person or an idiot, or a person intoxicated

Punishment - Death or Imprisonment for Life or 10 Years + Fine

This is a Non-Bailable, Cognizable offence and triable by Court of Session

This offence in NOT compoundable.

If an offence is cognizable, police has the authority to arrest the accused without a warrant and to start an investigation with or without the permission of a court. 

If the offence is Non-Bailable, arrested person has to apply for bail before a magistrate or court.

If the offence is Not compoundable, No compromise is allowed between the accused and the victim except under certain situations, where the High Court or the Supreme Court have the authority for quashing a matter.
