What options does a convict have after the curt order is pronounced
21-May-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I am undergoing a trial in session court, if I am found guilty will I be arrested and sent to jail, or I will get time to arrange bail from high court.
Hi, It depends upon the punishment by the session court. once you found guilty then you might be told by the sessions court judge to take bail else you can move to high court for bail on the same day ( In case if you go for appeal ). You need to have back up plan with your lawyer. But, Your current lawyer can predict the judgement.
While pronouncing the judgment, You can file a petition before the Hon'ble Court for suspension of sentence and furnish the surety for satisfaction of the court. Then, court will pass suitable orders.
