What is the jurisdiction of crime committed abroad but victim in India

Under which jurisdiction shall a suit lie if the crime is committed outside the territory of India; abroad, by a foreign national, but the aggrieved party belongs to India?
It depends on the nature of the offence whether it is a criminal offence or a civil one. However, in both the cases, it will be tried in the court of law in Indian Territory as IPC is applicable to offences committed outside of the India.

the indian penal code is applicable to every indian or if the victim is indian and if the offence is done on indian soil or if any indian committed an offence any where in india the indian laws are applicable even if any case is lodged abroad must be trailed as per the indian rules only if the accused himself is indian
