Harassment of senior citizens by neighbors can take many forms, including verbal, emotional, physical, or financial abuse, as well as neglect. Seniors facing such abuse should seek help promptly by contacting local police, using senior citizen helplines, or approaching social welfare organizations. In Mumbai, maintenance and welfare cases for senior citizens are handled by the Senior Citizen Tribunal, located at the Old Custom House, Shahid Bhagatsingh Road, Fort, Mumbai 400001, within the office of the Deputy Collector & Presiding Officer. This tribunal operates under the Maintenance and Welfare of Parents and Senior Citizens Act, 2007. Depending on the nature and jurisdiction of the harassment, complaints can be filed with the police, Maintenance Tribunal, or the District Magistrate. Additionally, the national Elder Helpline (14567) offers guidance and support to address such issues.

You can always approach the police station according to your jurisdiction and register a complaint against that harassment that you are facing. The matter will be taken under the senior citizen act. For more legal assistance I am just a call away.

there is nothing which the law says but if inappropriate language has been used then the person needs to file a written case against the persons who have used the language in the nearest police station. However it is the duty of the police to keep the matter intact and make the people understand that using foul language can be harmful for them in accordance of the law

You can file a private criminal complaint before the concerned magistrate of your area indee relevant sections of BNS so that action is taken against the offenders without undue delay because police generally don't register FIR in such cases
