What are the steps required to be taken after an FIR has been lodged

Meet with an accident inside a Mall while shopping for  Sim card & badly injured . The metal partition reck mall on me due to there negligence & hospitalize for 3 days . Somehow manage to file FIr after almost a month. Pls advice what further action should i take as it could have being fatel .

FIR is registered now police will take action and chargesheet will be filed by IO after through investigation. Now what you want that's is important firstly if you want to claim for your damages then you can go to the consumer court
