We have own house. attached to our stairs is our neighbor's house. that person used to take bath in open space without any single bit of cloth in front of his house inside compound wall. we are unable to go to terrace/our stairs. when we inquired why are you bathing nude he said " it is my house i can take bath however i wish. you don't have any rights" like that and uttered distressful comments against my father. his wife is also supporting him. i and my mother being women suffer due to this disgraceful act. anything possible to take action against him?

Certainly, go to nearby police station, file a complaint in the name of your neighbour and his wife about the act
Provide all relevant details like the name address his wife who is supporting the act

Then it is for the police to take action against it , get a FIR copy

I’m a case when police delays or denies to file FIR, You have to prefer a private complaint through court about this act prior to which send a legal notice to the accused

Also it is ideal to file this complaint in representative character ,
That is , find out some other neighbours of yours who are also affected due to this act , so that your complaint is more weighed

Hope it helps

Thanks

You can file a criminal complaint against that person to your local police station and if they refuse to act on that complaint, you can also file a private complaint directly to the magistrate of your jurisdiction. This act of his may attract 294, 504 and 509 of IPC

You can make a complaint to the police station of the jurisdiction narrating the nuisance created by your neighbor since it is an offence under section 268 of the Indian Penal Code with other neighbors who also suffered from the nuisance caused by your neighbor in support of your complaint since they stood as witnesses or as co-complainants

1. File a complaint against him online with the Tamil Nadu Police website.

2.You should draft the complaint in such a way that it should attract punishment under Indian Penal Code.

3. Police will call you for enquiry and they will visit your neighbour, warn him against such activities. If he doesn't listen, they will also file a FIR and arrest him for nusiance.
