Want to know the process to file an appeal under sec 498A

Please let me know the time taken to complete the process of Appeal in 498A in district court.Is there any way to expedite the process?Please help.

Usually in criminal appeals once the lower court record received then you will get be heard immediately. Only time will be taken to receive record from court below. So it might take 6 to 9 months for that process

Firstly you have to apply for suspense of sentence in the trail court. And then you will have to file a Appeal before the District Court. To expedite the proceedings before the District Court you have to make the lower court record to be received by Appellate Court.

Dear, I presume that you are the accused and you want to go for an appeal against conviction. Usually, once an appeal is admitted in session court, it takes hardly 4-5 months to get disposed off. If you see that the appeal process is taking unusually longer period of time to complete, you can ask the court to expedite the process through your lawyer. All the best!
