Threat from a powerful neighbour for death

There is a pet shop beside my house and dogs were barking day and night so filed a complaint, the authorities investigated on 12 Jan 2023. The shop is run by girl and her father came to my home and started abusing me and my senior citizen mother. He also threatened us to death. When he saw nothing was working in his favor he started blaming me for misbehaving with his daughter and also threatened to affect my job. The next day he called said he will install soundproof glass. After searching for the person on Google I found he has contacts with influential people and can affect me. We gave an application to mahila aayog and police station for safety. Now that person has filed a complaint that my house is illegally constructed as per the notice. I want to finish this as I have a job. Shall I take some action against the person. He can use his power against me and my family.
