Based on the facts provided, if you are a major, you can lodge a complaint without involving your parents. If it can be shown that the accused induced you into a physical relationship on a false promise of marriage without any genuine intention to marry, criminal action may be maintainable under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023. You may also initiate appropriate legal proceedings for recovery of the money borrowed from you

S. 376 IPC (false promise of marriage): If he induced you into a physical relationship by falsely promising marriage without genuine intention to marry, you may file an FIR. Preserve chats, calls, photos, and other evidence. Recovery of money: You can send a legal notice and file a recovery case/criminal complaint for cheating regarding the money transferred through cash and UPI. Proceed against family members only if there is evidence of their involvement.

Hi....have you kept any evidence of the payment made? Like bank statement. Is there any documentation or communication saved where he has asked that he wants you to give him money? Based on these facts the course for further legal actions can be taken.

Regarding the money borrowed, if you have proof of payment such as bank transfers, UPI records, messages acknowledging the loan, or witnesses, you can initiate legal proceedings for recovery of the amount and also mention the financial cheating in your complaint if the facts support it.

First of all rather than going legally you should serve him/her a legal notice and in that notice you can write that either pay my money or face legal action which will be at your own risk. After that if he/she fails to give you a satisfactory reply then you can anytime file a recovery suit in the court to claim your money back along with compensations.
