Sister in law accusing mother of false dowry case

My sister-in-law is accusing against my mother of harassment and dowry, she has complained if mental torture to police we r innocent. I live in separate state, and visit rarely, my mother is innocent and she has undergone twice bypass surgery. She threatening of ruining our lives.she says she will book us on 498 sec How can we escape as my brother also supports her , my father passed away recently and we have no one to help us
It's unfortunate but nothing new , misuse of laws made for innocent women is very common and is filled with it , and in most cases police and court initially won't listen to other side , but truth has its own weight and comes out definitely , any how what can be done is need to understand all circumstances , then proceed .
