Regarding Police case under IPC section 160

18-Sep-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I have an ongoing police case under IPC section 160 which was filed in 2017. The case is petty and would have been dismissed till now if it wasn't for the pandemic. In July 2021, I failed background verification check for my company because of the case. My Lawyer has suggested two things : 1) Pay a fine of 100 rupees, so that I won't go to jail, and thus won't have a criminal record. 2) Plea bargaining - Where if I pay certain donations to a community, I can get a clean slate and won't get a criminal record. Is he correct ? What should I do ? Can all my charges drop if I go for Plea Bargaining ?

Well, If you go for Plea Bargaining, Charges will be dropped and this case will not create an impact on your future Job opportunities or in case, if you want to give any Government Exam. So my Colleague Lawyer was right in advising you.
