Proclamation Under 174A due to Absence

09-Aug-2025 (In Criminal Law)
I got calls from Haryana police that under 174A, I am liable for arrest. Multiple cases under 138 were initiated by the bank due to cheque bounce. But I have already settled my loan. Bank has withdrawn all cases except one. How to get relief in such case?

To know the relief, the one case not withdrawn by the bank, why is that? if it is not withdrawn, you should appear before the court whenever summoned to get relief from arrest under 174A. All The Best.

Section 174A of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 (BNS) addresses the failure to appear in response to a proclamation issued under Section 84 of the BNS. This provision is analogous to Section 174A of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), which pertains to non-attendance in obedience to a lawful order. If one doesn't attend on issuance of proclamation, he or she can be arrested
