Police deny to show CCTV footage of crime to accused's family member

26-Apr-2023 (In Criminal Law)
One of mine friend accused under IPC 354 by women due to some misunderstanding happened outside railway station in Mumbai. He is currently in Judiciary custody. His bail already been rejected by local magistrate court and we are trying for bail in session court. We met him in prison and he told that he is not guilty and nothing like that happened there. That lady mentioned in statement that, he touched her private part in public which is completely false. We are 101% sure that this incidence has been captured in nearest police CCTV camera where this incident happened. We are demanding CCTV footage but investigation officer is saying that we cannot provide or show CCTV footage to accused as we might file a case against that women. But I don't know why they are denying the footage to show us. Is there any law which say's that police cannot reveal/show/provide CCTV footage to accused person's family? Is there any legal way to get that CCTV footage.
