Police asking for the car, which i have sold

Hi, I had a cab that war running in UBER & my driver looted a passenger & then after few days he left the job. I have sold the car as i was unable to pay the Bank EMI due to No driver to drive in UBER. Today after approx 30-35 days a police man came to my home & tell me all the situation , he asked me to surrender that car , which i have been sold to someone else. What to do in this case & what legal action will be against we. I did not do anything illegal in this case.
THere is nothing the police can do against you, you can tell them that you have sold the car to a person. provide them the details of the person to whom you have sold, and the details of the driver if you have. THe police can record your statement.
