Person promised job and took passport and job, now not returning both

A person take my passport & money for providing professional visa and job with in amount Rs 300000 .In 90 days .But he fails to fullfil the work.after a year he not return my money & passport .What I have to do now & which ipc applicable on such culprit.

In your case section 406 ipc and 420 ipc will be attracted. You can also file a civil suit for recovery on the basis of agreement entered by both the parties. Moreover u can also file a case under 379 and 420 ipc for illegally and dishonesty retaining ur passport
