Person harreshing us and asking for money and beating us

Please guide, one person beat us on road in front of 100 people and asked for 40000 rs and we applied FIR police man charged him 323, 504, 506 (2) it happed 12 after noon and night time he is out of prison not only this happened but in police station he started beating himseld by blade and front of police he said he will beat us if we dont pay... One time he was also arrested as murder suspect... I mean he has criminal history please guide what should we do
Respected sir,
First of all you have lodged an FIR against him, so he will have to face trial under the mention sections embedded in the FIR. He is out as he might be on the bail granted by the court.
