My signed blank Cheque Misused by my partner

I had a furniture business with my partner. Cheque Book and other documents were in his custody till date since beginning. I have kept few blank signed cheque for business conveniences. But now I came to know that he has misused/given those cheques without my consent to pay his personal expenses. After bouncing of those cheques those payees have sent me legal notice u/s 138 of NI ACT. Will it not an criminal offence by my partner? And if YES then under which section of IPC. Please help me to knw
