Mob attack and lost gold chain
04-Sep-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I was attacked by a mob of 12-15 people. I realised I had been hurt badly on my back. I spent the day resting and doing some other urgent works only. In night while having dinner my mother noticed that my gold chain, worth 70,000, is missing. I went down to look for it & while I was searching, the security guard nearby asked me if I was looking for a chain. Yes, he specifically asked, "Am I looking for a CHAIN?". Then he told me that the previous night after the fight, 3 guys of the mob came along with the president of my apartments and 4-5 others & that time one of the guys of the mob picked up the gold chain. I have pics of me wearing the chain, bill & jeweller & CCTV of attack on me.
Will this suffice to file a case? And if he says he picked up the chain but shows a different one & sold off my chain, what should I do? And how to get damages for my loss and injury?
Thanks in advance.
go to the nearest police station and lodge a complaint on the people who have attacked you. state clearly the chain of events that has occurred during that fight. and also mention that your gold chain has been taken by one of those people. Submit the CCTV footage to police and also keep a copy of the footage with you safely for future references.
