Missing wife or influenced wife

I was out of Mumbai for my work and my wife ran away with my relative she was influenced by him and she also took some cash and jewelry with her I have 2 young daughters I want to talk to her once police is taking the investigation lightly ut has been more then 25 days now what should I do
You can take these steps-
1. If police are taking it lightly, you can escalate the matter. You can submit a written request for a status update. If they still don't take action you can complain to the Senior police officer (ACP/ DCP) .
2. For the cash and jewellery- Sec. 302 and 316 for theft and criminal breach of trust respectively.
3. You can ask for legal custody of both your children's.
4. you can approach HC through Habeas Corpus, if you think that your wife is held against her wish.
However, since she is not a minor, you cannot legally force her to stay with you. Additionally, adultery is no longer a criminal offense, so you cannot file a criminal complaint. However, you can still file for divorce on the grounds of adultery in a civil court.
