limitation period to start investigation on suspicion of murder

04-Aug-2023 (In Criminal Law)
My father passed away due to illness 10 years ago at the second wife's house. Now, I have a suspicion that his death could have been unnatural and I hold the second wife as suspect as she certain fraudulent activity in property dealing inherited from my father has come to light. Is it possible to start an investigation of unnatural death after 10 years?

Yes, you can if your suspension is based on facts. You have to file a police complaint to investigate the death of your father as under suspicious circumstances. If police refused to take your complaint, file a petition before High court to direct the concerned police to investigate
