is it possible to compromise an attempt to murder case? complaintant father accused son complaintant first appearance is on 29.10.2015...can we compromise at this stage..if so how we can proceed further

THE hon'b le supreme court of india has permitted compromise in certain offences unless it is too heinous and affecting the society at large. But under section 307 ipc though it is heinous if the parties have compounded by settling theeir differences out of court the high courts can even quash the crminal cases by recording their compromise.
