09-Jul-2023 (In Criminal Law)
I m a person use to work as driver i got a passenger girl for duration around 3 months in the year from november-2013 to january2014 after january i stop her pickup as im not interested to do so by some misunderstanding she feels i like her which s not correct in month of april-2014 she sent her associate to warn me, even continuous threatening by her so i tried to contact her by mobile text message to clear her misunderstanding if any but she has advantage of n reg.. FIR U/S ipc 354d&506 i filled petition for quash n taken from high court in process but now a days i got a call frm police asked me to come for compromise if u wil.. but now my doubt is ?? is it compulsory to get compromise after questioning process in lok-adaalat?? because i dont want to go for compromise as i feel it is unnecessary words written/used in complaint regtd fir n ipc sections against me which i want to prove in court ! after reach lok-adat can we give our opinion also-compromise from our side ?

Compromise or settlement provides a ground for quashing of FIR in compoundable offences but on the other hand you can also go for proving the alleged offences as wrong and also sue the other side for false prosecution. but the compromise is an easy way to get the FIR quashed.
