IPC 498A DP 4 & 6 , Can This Case be settled In Lpk Adalat?

Hindu law, unconsummated marriage, My wife raised 498A on 6 members. We recently received court summons and all the members of family attended in court. Wife is ready to dissolve the case but the next date given by court is in December 2019. My query is, Can this 498A be closed in Lok Adalat as bothe the parties are ready to get divorced and wife is ready to diasolve 498A. Thanks in Advance.

hi yes 498a is compoundable in state of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. both parties to approach the criminal court hearing the matter and file for compromise of the case. even lok Adalat is not necessary as court itself has powers to compromise.

hi first u get divorce in the court by mutually concerned for divorce and take cope of divorce and file criminal case ..498a any other cases its will e closed u have to file an memo stating that all the matters or closed in all closed in lokadalth along with ur application u plse attach lokadalth settlement certificate then its will be easy for u
