IPC 354&354(b)/POCSO ACT Section 8 & Section 10- Provisional Cash Bail

20-Mar-2023 (In Criminal Law)
What is exactly provisional cash bail? The court has said the accused has been released on a provisional cash bail of Rs.15,000 for a period of four weeks. What does this exactly mean and does it mean that after four weeks the accused will be sent back to jail again??

Dear queriest, as per your query you are asking about provisional cash bail, which means, Bail denotes the provisional release of an accused in a criminal matter in which the court is yet to announce a judgment. The expression 'bail' meansa security deposited to appear before the court for release.

Provisional Cash Bail means releasing you on Bail subject that you deposit Cash/pay through Cheque/DD to Court & as such, Bail is granted in the form of temporary relief. Case goes on & on until finally decided by the Court. Provisional Cash Bail can be taken by submitting the Personal Bonds called as PR Bonds that you will appear in court in your ongoing matter on each and every regular hearing with other conditions as imposed by the Judge. In your case, after 4 Months, you have to again go for Bail Renewal. I can give you fool-proof and concrete legal advice after seeing your Bail Order & all Court-Papers relating to this case.
