19-May-2023 (In Criminal Law)
Respected Sir/Madam, My family had been falsely accused in a dowry case by in laws. As per the legal proceedings we filed a legal suit in Patna high court for quashing of the case against us. The court gave judgement in our favour. I want to know the maximum duration(period) after the court's order during which we can file a maanhani case against our opposition.

If the Hon'ble High Court have been pleased to quash the criminal case filed against you with the finding that the case was false and malicious, then only you can institute suit for defamation within one year of the judgement.

Sir first i would like congratulate you for judgement in your favor.
There is three year limitation of filing suit against the opposite parties or in any case if the time barred and the suit is not filed then with limitation petition can be filed for condonation of delay.
